Conde Hermanos EF-4 (2002 model), made of pine and cypress wood. Available in stock at the Japan Main Store, 2nd floor.

Description

When it comes to flamenco guitars, Conde is the name to remember! A beautiful, pre-owned classic model.

In 1915, guitar maker Domingo Esteso opened his own workshop, creating Spanish guitars using a new method.

A few years later, Domingo Esteso's nephews, the Conde brothers Faustino, Mariano, and Julio, began working in their uncle's workshop, learning his unique, handcrafted guitar-making techniques.

After Domingo Esteso's death in 1937, the three nephews took over the workshop, making guitars for his widow, the Viuda de Esteso (Domingo Esteso's Widow), and then continued making guitars for the Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso (Domingo Esteso's Nephews).

Subsequently, the Conde brothers began making guitars for Conde Hermanos, and the three brothers each took over the workshops of Faustino Gravina, Mariano Felipe, and Julio Atocha.

Conde Hermanos guitars are among the most famous flamenco guitars in the world, played by many renowned professional flamenco guitarists such as Sabicas and Paco de Lucía, and by numerous enthusiasts of both flamenco and classical guitars.

The tuning pegs have been replaced, and a crack in the headstock slot has been repaired, but there are no issues with its functionality.

There are minor scratches and scuffs from playing, but it is a beautiful used item with minimal signs of wear.

Enjoy the bright, crisp sound that is characteristic of Conde, made in Spain!
