Vintage Johnny Carson Tweed Blazer / 42R / Grey / Union Made USA / Lined
Vintage Johnny Carson blazer in textured grey tweed, union-made in the USA by ACTWU workers. Classic single-breasted cut with a notched lapel, single back vent, and full lining in pale green. A solid example of late 1980s–early 1990s American tailoring.
Johnny Carson Apparel was launched in 1970 as a collaboration between the legendary Tonight Show host and M. Wile & Co., a subsidiary of Hart Schaffner & Marx. Carson’s on-air style had already shaped American menswear trends—his Nehru jacket appearance in 1968 triggered thousands of orders overnight. The brand’s tailored blazers and suits reflected Carson’s signature look: stylish, conservative, and accessible. This blazer is part of that legacy, union-made in the USA and designed to bring broadcast-era elegance to everyday wear.
