There are some signs of age, use and wear. The leather hard cover has significant wear of all edges in particular, and some surface discolouration/fading. There is partial splitting of both front and back hinge developing at the bottom of the spine, however the cover remains firmly attached to the text block. There is some occasional age/use related page discolouration/creasing dotted throughout. All text is clearly legible. Overall contents binding appears strong, tight and complete. There is a previous owner prize slip glued to the inside front cover. The page edges are gold gilded, some marking and wear of the gilding noticeable. Overall the contents remain in good reading condition for its age, with as described clear signs of age, use and wear to the cover in particular.
