Ibanez is one of Japan's leading musical instrument brands.
The item we have in stock is the RG870QMZ, a Premium series RG model manufactured in Indonesia.
The top wood features a quilted maple veneer that highlights the beauty of the grain, and the see-through black color gives it a chic appearance.
The neck shape is the Wizard Premium, which has a slim shape typical of Ibanez.
Combined with the matte finish on the back of the neck, the smooth texture allows for smooth playing even during long sessions or quick position changes.
The wood construction features a quilted maple veneer, maple top, basswood back, a 5-piece maple and walnut neck, and a rosewood fingerboard.
Thanks to the flat acoustic characteristics of basswood, the mid-low frequencies are well-defined, and the combination is impressive with its extended high frequencies.
Furthermore, the EDGEZEROII bridge, which incorporates the Zero Point System, is mounted, making adjustments smoother, which is another attractive feature of this model.
The pickups are an original CAP-VM1, CAP-VM1S, and CAP-VM2 in an HSH configuration.
The relatively clean sound image allows for good phrase cohesion, and the clean tone offers excellent responsiveness and phrase reproduction.
When driven, the tone maintains its definition even in high-gain sounds, and the responsiveness is noticeable in fast riff work and flowing lead work.
The guitar shows signs of age and use, including scratches and dents, tarnishing and rust on parts, plating wear, re-drilled strap pin holes, some paint chips and cracks, and blackening on the back of the neck. However, the frets have plenty of life left, and the truss rod is functioning well, making it ready to play immediately.
It possesses the traditional playability and sound characteristic of RG guitars.
