Crystal clear & extremely durable. The 2-component polyurethane compound forms a chip and UV-resistant film that is chemical resistant. It is easy to apply and immediately forms a deep and shiny surface without the risk of dripping.

Car-Rep 2K PU Clear Coat can be applied over solventborne and waterborne basecoats. The drying time can be boosted with shortwave infrared or baking. Can be applied outside spray booths, which is time and cost-efficient.

Uses: Designed to provide extremely durable and chemically resistant coating on top of painted surfaces or simply bare metal.

List of suitable substrates: OEM Finish, Old Paint, Bare Aluminum, Bare & Galvanized Steel, Wood.

Unsuitable substrates: Styrofoam.

Application Specifications: At 20C (68 F) Relative air humidity 35% - 75%.

Flash-off time: 15 min between layers.

Dust dry: 15 min.

Touch dry: 30 min.

Overpaintable: Once touch dry.

Dry & Polishable: Overnight.

Final hardness & chemical resistance: 8-10 days.

Coverage as one covering wet layer on plain white base colour.

Previous paintwork completely hardened. Some alkyd paints might react with Car-Rep 2K. Test before applying.

Previous paintwork might affect final surface attributes.

Can be shortened to 40 minutes with external heat of 70C (158F). After final application layer, wait 30 minutes before heating.
