Burns Marquee Used Maple Neck Maple Fingerboard Red w/Soft Case

Burns Marquee Used Maple Neck Maple Fingerboard Red w/Soft Case

Burns, which began production in 1960, gained renown as a British-made solid-body electric guitar manufacturer.
Although it was also popular in the United States, it was acquired by a large corporation. Therefore, it sought independence in the UK, changing its name to Burns UK in the 1970s, but with the founder always actively involved. From 1992 onwards, it became Burns London, and continued guitar production until around 2020.
In later years, they also developed a more affordable lineup produced in Asia. This is the Marquee from their Club Series.
Its eye-catching scroll headstock and pickguard layout, Rez-O-Matik pickups, and uniquely constructed The Point Classic tremolo give it a highly original design and distinctive use of parts.
The lever switch offers five settings to switch between the three pickups: 1) neck → 2) neck + middle → 3) middle → 4) middle + bridge → 5) bridge. Furthermore, the bottom tone knob is push/pullable, allowing for a wide range of tonal possibilities: 1)' neck + bridge → 2)', 3)', 4)' neck + middle + bridge → 5)' neck + bridge.
The frets are slightly worn overall, and there's a slight buzz when playing the 6th string. The body has some shallow scratches and blemishes, but is generally in good condition. However, there is a dent on the edge of the 3rd fret on the 1st string side. The tremolo arm and backplate are missing.
Above all, if you like this design and impact, and it's reasonably priced, please try this traditional UK brand. It's no longer in production and is no longer available!
