Description: This is an ORIGINAL WWI poster generally entitled "BOOKS WANTED". The artist was C(Charles) B(uckley) Falls (1874-1960). The poster seeks donations of books "..for our men in camp and over there". The image is that of an Ameican Marine carrying a high stack of books. Note the Marine emblem on his helmet and the intitials "USMC" on his canteen cover. He shoulders a Springfield 1903 rifle with bayonet attached. The poster is linen-backed for preservation and ease of handling. It measures 28" x 41" with a 3/4" border. In Fine condition and certainlhy suitable for framing. Shipped rolled. Fine.
