About the location...

I'm actually from West Palm Beach, grew up and lived there for over 30 years. The Cape Kennedy Hilton, located in Cape Canaveral, was a premier 1960s hotspot for NASA astronauts, contractors, and celebrities during the Apollo era. Known for hosting post-launch "splashdown parties" and poolside briefings, it was a favorite, high-profile venue managed in part by Harris Rosen. The hotel was later acquired in 1971 by Carl McIntire, renamed "Gateway to the Stars," and is now the Radisson Resort at the Port.
