Description

This offer is valid for up to 48 uses for a limited time.

Stilblu is an original brand of Kaishindo Musical Instruments (the company that operates BlueGuitars, etc.).

While we, including our own company, generally do not stock original products from other companies in our large music stores, we fell completely in love with Stilblu at first sight and decided to introduce it to our store.

We had thought Stilblu was a promising instrument ever since Kaishindo Musical Instruments first released it, but because it was an original brand from another company, we had given up on stocking it. However, at Sound Messe 2023, we couldn't resist any longer and inquired about carrying it at the BlueGuitars booth.

Unfortunately, the result was that we were unable to carry it, so we gave up for 2023 (the year our store opened).

The following year, at Sound Messe 2024, BlueGuitars also had a booth, so we inquired about carrying it again, but the result was again that it was not possible.

Despite my persistence, I finally received permission to carry Stilblu guitars at the BlueGuitars booth at Sound Messe 2025.

Apparently, they finally gave in to my persistent requests (?) over the past three years, despite repeated refusals. While it's currently limited to areas where Stilblu isn't available, they've finally agreed.

I was incredibly happy, as these are instruments I truly wanted to carry.

To begin with, we discussed how to introduce them, so we've selected three Stilblu guitars—one each of the ST, TL, and JM—to allow locals to experience the characteristics of each model.

These guitars are the so-called Jazzmaster shape.

This is true of the Stilblu brand in general: the aged, traditional shape gives the impression that they produce a "vintage-like sound." It's often expected that...
However, Stilblu instruments produce a great sound in a completely different direction from what's commonly considered a vintage sound.
To be more precise, it's best described as having a moderate amount of compression, sparkling high frequencies, and a unique, unparalleled reverberation.

These characteristics are partly due to the pickups, but I believe they're also due to the metal pickguard, and I'm surprised at how well it balances out the sound.
Some might think that "compression" means a popping sound, but it's not a bad kind of popping; it's a compression that gives the picking a sticky, deep feel. Furthermore, each note has a very bright, sparkling high-frequency range, so instead of the sound becoming rounded due to the compression mentioned above, the overall sound is finished with a lot of edge.
In addition, a pleasant reverberation, similar to that of a reverb effect or short delay, is also a characteristic of the Stilblu.
It is likely that this reverberation is caused by the difference in vibration between the metal pickguard and the wood (body), but this unique resonance adds a subtle yet pleasing flavor whether you are playing clean arpeggios or strumming the guitar with crunch.
The pickup is the Stilblu original JMPU.
In a sense, it is the best compared to other models. While it has a traditional-style pickup design, it's not a vintage-style pickup.

Vintage-style JM pickups often evoke an image of a rugged, gritty, and cool sound, but stilblu's JM pickups have a sound that immediately strikes you as having intense thickness.

Of course, it has the ruggedness and grittiness characteristic of JM pickups, but more than that, it has a gutsy and powerful sound that's a perfect match for wild tones.

Therefore, it pairs well with crunch tones, and even with high-gain sounds, the powerful bass provides a strong, gritty sound with excellent power.

Also, the aforementioned effect of the metal pickguard... It also has a crispness in the high frequencies that perfectly matches the onomatopoeia "gritty."
Therefore, it doesn't have a rough, gritty sound in the lower register, but rather a surprisingly well-balanced sound, which is a personal favorite point of mine.
I describe this kind of sound as good in a way that isn't typical of vintage guitars.
For this reason, while it may not be suitable for quickly obtaining the good old sound of guitarists of yesteryear, I feel it's a guitar that perfectly fits the modern music scene.
I recommend this particular guitar to those who play modern music, those who are pursuing a unique sound, and those who simply want to enjoy a "good sound."

Tradition and modern innovation. The guitar, a tool often categorized by sound and playability.

stilblu embodies this tradition and innovation in its own unique balance.

As a guitar shop, they have set up and repaired numerous brands for many years.

If they were to design and build a new guitar and release it to the world, it didn't need to be exactly the same as those before.

While possessing a unique individuality that only they can have, they also respect the guitar culture that has come before them.

stilblu electric guitars feature unique pickguards made from copper, brass, and aluminum.

At times, this imparts completely different acoustic characteristics to the guitar compared to resin pickguards.
