Based on Momose's standard MC model, this is an IKEBE custom order model featuring an ebony fingerboard! The black matching headstock finish, with the headstock and body in the same color, gives it a sharp, refined look. This is a very limited production model, so don't miss this opportunity!
This model features a slightly larger treble horn, a recessed neck set plate, a large truss rod adjustment hole, and binding made of the same material as the fingerboard, all arranged in Momose's unique style. The installed YUTAVS-1 pickup produces a clear, articulate clean tone. Momose MC Model
Inheriting the fundamental structure of vintage ST guitars that Momose has pursued, this model boasts a traditional sound and tone. Furthermore, it pushes the boundaries of modern playability through customization, adhering to Momose's core philosophy of processing each material according to its individual characteristics—mass, elasticity, and resonance—and pursuing the possibilities of vintage style through complete handcrafting. This model elevates total quality to a unique original style, and is finally complete.
The body shape features a slightly wider cutaway for smoother shifts to the higher positions and improved playability. It also features a headstock shape that is impactful while maintaining a classical feel.
The adjustment mechanism retains the design that allows for instant setting, but its shape has been revised for even more stress-free adjustment. The neck shape, finished with a semi-matte, ultra-thin top lacquer and meticulous sanding, creates a smooth playing feel, further refined with attention to grip comfort.
The JESCARFW9662-NS retains its specifications, including a 210R fingerboard to eliminate fret buzz in high positions or during string bending, and medium-sized, slightly higher frets (equivalent to Jim Dunlop USA #6105) for easy fingering with accurate pitch. However, by applying wood binding made of the same material as the fingerboard to the sides of the fingerboard, covering the fret tangs, an even smoother neck grip is achieved, preventing burr problems even under harsh conditions.
The neck joint also retains the traditional method using a joint plate, but incorporates a recessed design for enhanced playability and a unique heel cut. Furthermore, the joint plate itself is made of a high-density material chosen for its superior sound quality.
Other features include GOTOH Magnum Lock tuners for high-precision pitch maintenance and a custom-made bridge with a 10.8mm string spacing, demonstrating a commitment to quality throughout. The assembly is constructed using only the highest quality USA-made parts, and meticulous shielding with conductive paint is applied to reduce noise.
