The Sunkai body, shaped with playability as the top priority, features a hard maple and sapele 5-piece set neck and a small headstock for excellent weight balance.
Equipped with Front RYOGARA H4 n and Rear RYOGARA H4 bHH configuration pickups. Features a single-mode switch.
This is the HORNET Fit, a higher-end model of the HORNET, an original-shaped electric guitar from Ryoga, Shimamura Music's original brand, which delivers lightweight, easy-to-play, and comfortable electric guitars that fit the heart and body of the player.
Designed with a focus on comfort for playing bass chords, this model is a perfect match for guitarists who also sing. Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure that the player can comfortably and enjoyably play for extended periods.
The comfortable neck grip, with its carefully rounded edges, is immediately noticeable the moment you pick it up. The rounded shape and lightweight body, thanks to its hollow construction, are immediately apparent when you sit down and hold the guitar.
To achieve the lightweight and comfortable playability that is a major appeal of Ryoga guitars, each model employs a specially designed chambered hollow structure. While respecting the inherent tone of the wood, the amount of hollow space and processing methods are carefully considered to create a manageable weight balance of approximately 3kg.
The medium scale of 628mm, slightly shorter than that of a typical guitar, is used, making it comfortable to play even for those with small hands.
The body is made of Sungkai wood, which has characteristics similar to white ash. Sungkai is a tropical broadleaf tree of the Verbenaceae family, native to Indonesia. It is characterized by its strength and ease of processing, and is widely used in furniture and other applications. As a musical instrument, it is attractive for its beautiful wood grain and bright, wide-ranging sound, but it also has the characteristic of being relatively heavy.
The ultra-thin urethane coating, which conveys the natural texture of the wood, also contributes to the bright and clear sound. The matte finish on the body is popular with streaming users because it reduces light reflection and glare.
The neck is made of hard maple with a 5-ply structure, consisting of two 3mm thick sapele layers. By laminating this hard, warp- and twist-resistant wood, it achieves excellent rigidity while maintaining a slim, easy-to-grip shape. The neck joint has a smoothly finished heel. This ensures comfortable playability with minimal stress, even when playing in the higher positions where the palm of the hand touches the neck joint, such as during guitar solos and lead playing.
The pickups are Ryoga original humbuckers: RyogaRAH4 n in the front and RyogaRAH4 b in the rear. Designed with a focus on a crisp sound. The tone knob features a single-mode switch; pulling it up cuts the coil output of one side of the humbucker by approximately 80, resulting in a focused sound with minimal tone loss.
