Guild D-55 Natural, 1981
A 1981 Guild flagship dreadnought model.
Characterized by its dry resonance and robust tone, this guitar boasts a deep resonance that comes from years of playing.
A guitar that combines a dignified look with solid playability.
Features a solid spruce top and solid Indian rosewood sides and back for rich volume.
Long-scale mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge. Guild logo tuners.
Even with a light touch, it resonates fully, characterized by a core, rugged tone typical of Guild.
The weather checking and amber-colored top texture contribute to a dignified vintage look.
Recommended for players seeking a solid sound and a refined presence.
Guitar Condition
Weather checking and aging are visible throughout the body, and there is paint peeling on the back of the headstock and neck.
Also, the body may have been refinished.
There is lifting in the neck binding on the 6th string side at the 1st fret.
A pickup has been installed, and the end pin has been changed to a jack size.
There is a repaired crack on the top, from under the bridge to the end; it has been reinforced with a patch from the back.
The bridge has been repaired for detachment; it has been touched up.
The nut, saddle, and bridge pins have been replaced and are not original.
The tuning pegs are tarnished.
The neck is straight within a standard range, with approximately 50% of the frets remaining.
There is no buzzing or dead spots, and the string height at the 12th fret is 2.5mm on the 6th string side and 2.0mm on the string side.
