Gibson EB-2 Cherry MOD 1967

Description

This is a Gibson EB-2 semi-hollow body bass.

Based on the serial number, it is believed to be from 1967.

The original had a body shape similar to the ES-335 and was equipped with one humbucker, but
this instrument has an additional Gibson pickup in the bridge position.

Due to the addition, the controls have been changed to two volume controls, and the original varitone switch has been replaced with a tone control.

The escutcheon is partially damaged, and all the potentiometers have been replaced, but there is some crackling noise.

Regarding the condition, there is some warping, and the string height is set slightly high.

Currently, the bridge is lowered to its limit, and as a result, the mute lever is fixed and cannot be moved. It works when the strings are loosened.

The truss rod is currently functioning correctly, and although there is some fret wear, there is no noticeable buzzing at the current string height.

It has noticeable weather checking, giving it a dignified look.

The pickguard and fence are missing.

A hard case is included, but it shows considerable signs of use.

The case could not be fixed in the open position.

Due to the above condition, it is being offered at a very affordable price!
