This is a very collectable and stylish Seiko Grand Quartz. Will be sad to see it go, but trying to raise funds for a new watch purchase.
The watch dial and case is still in a very good condition. The watch is in good running condition and every function works as it should - new battery just fitted 19/03/26. The day/date quick set works nicely. It’s a JDM model and comes with Kanji day wheel. It has a relatively large case size, for a vintage watch, of 38 mm (without the crown) and 19 mm lugs. It comes with a classic brand-new woven brown leather strap with gold buckle which compliments the watch very well. Also included is an additional unused strap similar to that which the watch was sold with back in the 70's.
This is a gold capped/gold filled watch. Meaning there is an actual layer of gold being layered and fusion permanently to the watch case. Typically, the gold layer is 5 to 10 times thicker than gold plating. It is also more wear resistant. This watch was sold for 84,000 Yen in 1976 (more expensive than a Rolex). Please refer to the photos for details as it is part of the description.
There are no major scratches on the glass and the case but there are many micro scratches under different viewing angles. Please note this is a vintage watch and please do not expose it to water moisture. It will be sent in a suitable box to protect in the post. I am selling 'as it is'. Please check the photos carefully as they are part of the listing descriptions. Please send me a message if you have any questions.
