Material: BioFlex / Acrylic BioFlex is a biocompatible, flexible plastic ideal for piercing jewellery. It’s soft, lightweight and comfortable even in new piercings. Because it’s completely non‑reactive, it won’t interfere with healing or irritate sensitive skin.

As these piercings are completely metal‑free, they’re suitable for people with metal allergies, hospital visits, MRIs, X‑rays, or any situation where metal jewellery cannot be worn.

Each stud is fitted with a solid-colour acrylic ball (3 mm, 4 mm or 5 mm). The colour runs through the entire ball - not coated - so it won’t scratch, peel or fade.

  • Bar Gauge: 14GA (1.6 mm) or 16GA (1.2 mm)
  • Bar Lengths: 6 mm to 16 mm
  • Ends: 3 mm, 4 mm or 5 mm solid‑colour acrylic balls
  • Fixing: Externally threaded flat‑back labret. Ball top unscrews for easy fitting or swapping.

Please note: BioFlex threads feel slightly different from steel. For smooth fitting, gently push the ball onto the bar while twisting so the thread catches securely. If you’re new to acrylic jewellery, practising in your hands first can make fitting much easier - especially for harder‑to‑reach piercings.

⭐ Labret Size Guide - Suggested Uses

(Please check your piercing’s anatomy and healing stage before selecting bar length. Sizes are approximate and may vary by placement. When in doubt, consult a professional piercer.)

All options are available in 16GA (1.2 mm) or 14GA (1.6 mm). Choose your bar length based on where you plan to wear the labret:

16GA - 6 mm to 12 mm Ideal for lip piercings, medusa, monroe, cheek, and cartilage. Shorter lengths (6–8 mm) suit healed piercings; longer lengths (10–12 mm) allow for swelling or thicker tissue.

14GA - 6 mm to 10 mm Perfect for those who prefer a slightly thicker bar for lip or cartilage piercings, or already wear 14GA jewellery.

14GA - 12 mm to 16 mm These longer bars can also be used as tongue bars by customers who prefer a flat-back labret instead of a standard tongue barbell. Also suitable for larger‑gauge lip or cheek piercings where extra length is needed.

⭐ Care & Sterilisation

Our body jewellery is not sold as sterilised unless specifically stated. Always sterilise new jewellery before first use.

  • For tongue rings and oral jewellery, use alcohol‑free mouthwash to avoid discolouration or damage to acrylic items.

  • For non‑oral piercings, warm water and antibacterial soap are sufficient.

Please note: Some disinfecting methods can be harsh and may weaken acrylic balls, causing them to break. This jewellery is not suitable for autoclaving. Avoid hot water or alcohol‑based products such as hand sanitiser, antibacterial gel, or similar.
