Schimpansen (Pan) sind hochintelligente, zu den Menschenaffen zählende Primaten aus Afrika. Als engste lebende Verwandte des Menschen (über 98 % DNA-Übereinstimmung) leben sie in komplexen sozialen Gruppen in Regenwäldern und Savannen. Sie sind Allesfresser, nutzen Werkzeuge und gelten als vom Aussterben bedroht.

Die Replik ist etwa 18cm lang, 11cm breit und entspricht Museumsqualität. Schädel und Kiefer sind beweglich miteinander verbunden.
