WD My Cloud 2TB Personal Network Storage NAS Drive Western Digital WDBCTL0020HWT
USED UPDATED to Latest Firmware, Restored to Factory Settings, User Data Cleared and Formatted.
TESTED 100% Working prior to reset and restoration.
Original owner, non smoking, no pet household. Dry indoor storage.

The case has some very slight yellowing due to age and some ambient window light.
This was purchased around 2015 i believe, used regularly for only about 5 years before being stored and was not on all the time, so it has relatively low hours.
Has been in storage for a while but fully tested to work before I reset and restored it.
There is no user data and is in "factory state" with default settings and ready for new owner to follow Western Digital step by step set up. Western Digital still has manuals online at their website which have good instructions. There is also built in Help menu once you connect over your network.
This is a NETWORK (ethernet connection is required to a router) drive.
This is NOT an external USB drive to be connected directly to your computer.
This does NOT have built in WiFi.
It DOES allow you to connect an optional additional external USB drive to its USB 3.0 port which can be configured to also share it over your network.
PLEASE Note this generation with the latest updated software from around 2021-22 cannot automatically share data over the public internet due to WD no longer providing security support. However, it works fine sharing and accessing over your internal private network as long as you have your computers set to allow sharing over a network.
Please visit Western Digital website to download all instructions for this model. Quick summary/tips below:
Once connected to your network, your router will assign an IP Address to this drive. This takes a few minutes and will need to give some time. Once the drive shows up on your computer as an available network drive you can Open it to view or change settings. This varies based on your operating system. If any trouble you may have to look at your router settings manually to see what address was assigned to the drive. Then you could manually type this address in your computer browser to start the setup. Either way, follow the WD online manual/FAQs to set up the drive and create username password and various share settings as well as Media sharing for optional additional USB external drive....this is a VERY short summary of the process. You can assign drive letters, stream media, use for automated backups and more! Very handy, but no futher support can be provided by the seller, sorry!
Carefully packed with bubble wrap in a good box.
Ground shipping can take several days.
No Returns.
Thank you!
