Menin Gate - Memorial to the Missing Centenary Enamel Badge

1927 - 2027

The centenary of the unveiling of the Menin Gate in 2027 will mark one hundred years since its dedication on the 24th July 1927 in Ypres, Belgium.

Built to commemorate more than 54,000 missing Commonwealth soldiers of the First World War, the memorial remains a powerful symbol of sacrifice and remembrance.

The anniversary will highlight its enduring legacy, including the daily Last Post ceremony, performed since 1928 in tribute to the fallen.

In 2027, commemorations will not only honour those lost but also reaffirm the importance of remembrance, ensuring future generations continue to reflect on the human cost of war.
