1960s Reproduction British "Tower" Sea Service Flintlock Pistol with Brass Fittings
This is a modern reproduction of a British "Tower" Sea service flintlock pistol, which mimics the style of the late 18th- and early 19th-century military firearm. This was produced by a Japanese company such as Miroku or Ultra-Hi, but does not evidence any brand markings.
The "Tower" marking mimics the original British military proof mark. The "Japan" marking indicates country of origin and the "14546" marking is the serial number required for modern manufacturing and import. I am not an expert but believe this mimics a .67 or .69 caliber smoothbore. Mimics the mechanical functionality of the original.
This is from the 1960s and shows evidence of age. However, I do not know if the aging is original to the piece or as a result of it being 50 to 60 years old - see pics for details.
