Up for sale is a classic piece of 1980s Disney history: the "Leo Da Mickey" poster by renowned artist Tom Zotos. This clever parody of Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man features Mickey Mouse centered over architectural "blueprint" renderings of Sleeping Beauty Castle, Cinderella Castle, and EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth.
Provenance & Details:
• Edition: Official "Legacy Edition" published by Art 1 Images.
• Era: Circa 1987. The back features the "© The Walt Disney Co" stamp, dating it to the era following Disney’s 1986 corporate rebranding.
• Format: This is a professional Plaque Mount. The art is heat-sealed onto a heavy, high-density wood backing with a protective laminate finish and a beveled red edge. It is durable, UV-resistant, and ready to hang—no frame required!
Condition:
The front image remains vibrant with the intentional "aged parchment" aesthetic. As a vintage item, there is some wear to the black backing and beveled edges (see photos), but the main artwork is well-preserved under the laminate seal. The original COA sleeve is present on the back, though the card itself is not included.
Shipping:
This is a substantial, heavy piece.
