Rare Pre-1947 PONTEFRACT COLLIERIES LTD Brass Pit Check No. 5/0 - Prince of Wales

This is an authentic, original brass colliery pit check from the Pontefract Collieries Ltd, specifically used at the historic Prince of Wales Colliery in West Yorkshire. Struck before the 1947 nationalisation of the UK coal industry, this token is a tangible piece of British industrial heritage.

Function and Design:

• Number: Hand-stamped with miner identification number 5/0.
