This is a vintage "Dracula Was A Woman, In Search of the Blood Countess of Transylvania" by Raymond T. McNally It is a hardcover volume with dust jacket. This book measures 8 1/2 by 5 5/8 inches and has 254 pages plus 12 opening pages of Introduction etc. The boards of this book are black with the title printed along the spine in red. The dust jacket is a black background on spine and front with bold graphics in red and pink. The back cover is white with a photo of the author. This is a book presenting the true history of Countess Elizabeth Bathory, the "ancient vampire of Transylvania." The Countess is reputed to have murdered close to 700 young women in the belief that their blood would keep her young. There is an interesting Bibliography which includes some very old sources. This book is from a collector's library and has been stored. with care away from light in a smoke-free, pet-free home. The hardcover book is in Like New condition. The boards are free of any wear and the pages are like new with no markings, creases, or sign of use. The spine looks good and the binding is snug--it feels like a new book. The dust jacket is in good condition. There is wear at the outer corners more in the front than the back. There are a few points of wear right along the edges of the front cover and a short scratch near the upper corner. The spine surface looks pretty good, but has wear at top and bottom and color break along the fold between spine and back cover. The flaps of the dust cover are like new.
