On sale, low price for 5 days- Electric (electro-acoustic) violin in good playing condition with a stylish Chinese design, made in China around 2019. Standard full size : Length of back 14", lower bout width 8", rib height 1.5 ".
The violin appeared prominently in the PBS documentary "Return to Aspen" which was on Rocky Mountain PBS in 2022-23.
It has a nice inlaid hard wood fingerboard - and a matching tailpiece that is not on the violin now, but will be included. The current tailpiece has four tuning adjusters built in. Also added is an expensive ebony chinrest that goes over the tailpiece.
It has the typical type of pick-up where the bridge sits on it. It has a well adjusted bridge to get a really convincing natural violin sound to start with. The violin is made of enameled wood and is made to be electro acoustic in that it can be practiced upon without headphones. overall it is lighter than solid instruments.
It was customized - in that some heavy enamel was removed from the back to release more acoustic sound and change the vibration going to the pick-up.
It needs a battery to run. The electric assembly is through the back and easily removed, held by four screws. It has a volume and tone control and mini jacks for line out, headphones, or mic.
it should be noted that it needs an L shaped mini jack to connect - a straight jack protrudes towards the shoulder and risks twisting the whole electric assembly. If this happens it can temporarily shut off. The L shaped jack stays closer to the violin.
Comes with a small bag style case.
