Please check out my other items and feel free to message me with any questions. Records are graded visually and conservatively under a bright light bulb. Unless otherwise specified, LPs are not brand new and some will likely exhibit occasional minor surface noises.
Record Grading:
M (Mint) - Highest grade, very few records meet this. Generally applied to sealed records only.
NM (Near Mint - Like new, most likely unplayed.
EX (Excellent) - A record that has a few visual imperfections that will not affect the sound. Likely played only a handful of times or never at all.
VG+ (Very Good Plus) - A few more surface marks than an EX. The record has probably been played before but well taken care of and should play with very few audible imperfections.
VG (Very Good) - The record will display surface scuffs and marks. Expect some surface noise in parts or a few clicks or pops here and there. A VG record will play with some noise and will still be quite enjoyable.
VG- (Very Good Minus) - The record may have some deeper audible scratches. There will be some clicks and pops more consistently than that of a VG record, but will play without skipping.
G (Good) - The record will have heavy wear, deep scratches and very apparent surface noise, clicks, or pops.
P (Poor) - Lowest Grade. I will not sell albums in this condition.
Cover Grading:
M (Mint) – Absolutely perfect in every way. Usually sealed.
NM (Near Mint) – Very minor signs of wear or cover impressions. Artwork is as close to new as possible.
VG+ (Very Good Plus) – Clean but may have writing or marks and will show some wear. There may be ring wear, where the disc has created a raised area on the cover that resulted in the ink wearing off the paper. There may be discoloration or staining, seam wear, and/or minor splits or tears (nothing over 1 inch), or indentations in the sleeve. Corners can have creases or fraying and bumps, and spine may have wear.
VG (Very Good) – Cover is worn and used. Seams may be starting to split or may have been unobtrusively repaired with clear tape. There is moderate ring-wear, but the artwork is still attractive. There may be yellowing or discoloration and there may be larger writing, labels, or marks. Corners may have damage or creases and there may be scratches or gouges that otherwise damage the artwork. Might have light water damage.
G (Good) – Has significant ring wear, heavy writing, or obvious damage caused by someone trying to remove tape or stickers and failing miserably. Has seam splits obvious on sight. Could have water damage or peeling of the cover.
