Greco FV-600 1982 Used Mahogany Body Rosewood Fingerboard White w/Soft Case

Greco FV-600 1982 Used Mahogany Body Rosewood Fingerboard White w/Soft Case

Greco FV-600, 1982
[1981-1982 Transitional Flying V Model]
This is a 1982 Greco "FV-600," a 1976 Flying V model.
This is a guitar from the transitional period between 1981 and 1982 when the model name changed.
While the serial number indicates it was manufactured in 1982, the 1982 catalog only lists the FV64-80M, which featured a deluxe vibrato arm.
The 1981 catalog lists the "FV-600," a model with the same Stop Tailpiece specification as this one.
(A higher-end model, the FV-800, features a Deluxe Vibrola arm.)
The electronics have been replaced; the original pickups were two U-1000s, but they have been replaced with a SCREAM'IN 1982 in the neck position and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB in the bridge position.
It features a Switchcraft jack and Orange Drop capacitors.
It delivers a high-power, crisp sound.
[A Japanese vintage item aged for over 40 years]
The body is made of mahogany, the neck is mahogany, the fingerboard is rosewood (22 frets/305mm radius), and the scale length is 628mm.
It features Greco DELUXE Kluson-type tuners and a Tune-O-Matic & Stop Tailpiece.
While there is noticeable discoloration due to age, it functions perfectly.
This is a Japanese vintage item aged for over 40 years.
[High-Powered, Crisp Sound]
The guitar features a SCREAM'IN 1982 pickup in the neck position and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB in the bridge position.
Controls include 2 Volume, 1 Tone, and a 3-Way Pickup Selector Switch.
The pickups are open-type with their covers removed.
The bridge pickup lacks a cover/escutcheon, so mounting parts have been added to ensure sufficient mounting screw height.
The high-powered, crisp sound is excellent for both clean and overdrive tones.
[Product Condition]
The neck is almost perfectly straight.
There are scratches from use and tarnishing on the parts due to age.
Discoloration from sun exposure is visible on the color and pickguard.
Functionality and sound are fine.
The strings are .010-.046 gauge.
The truss rod has enough adjustment range in both tightening and loosening directions for neck adjustment, but there is little remaining adjustment range in the tightening direction (it is stiff to turn).
The neck has been adjusted to be almost flat.
String height at the 12th fret is approximately 1.6mm for the 1st string and 2.1mm for the 6th string.
Accessories include an ESP soft case.
