Barytocelestine Crystal Healing Stone Paper Weight Ornament 392g 70 x 65 x 30 mm

This is a beautiful example of a rare Barytocelestine stone from Chipping Sodbury,  Gloucestershire, UK.  The Barytocelestine stone has been carefully hand-carved and polished, enhancing its natural beauty and making it a distinctive piece with unique provenance.

Weighing 382 grams the stone is incredibly dense and heavy for its size and would make an excellent paper weight, and its rare origin and polished finish make it an attractive ornament to display.

Barytocelestine is also renowned for its soothing energy, which is believed to promote tranquillity and inner peace. Many regard this mineral as a source of calm, making it highly valued for those seeking to foster a peaceful environment or enhance their own sense of serenity.

Barytocelestine is an intermediate mineral between the two end members of Baryte (BaSO4) and Celestine (SrSO4). Barium and Strontium atoms share a similar size and charge, and so readily substitute for one another, creating what is called a 'solid solution series'.  It produces banded fibrous masses in stunning salmon pink, grey and blue hues and is found in fissures within carboniferous limestone.

The stone measures 70 x 65 x 30mm, weighs 320 grams, and is presented in an elegant foam-padded black cardboard box, which itself measures 95 x 95 x 60 mm.
