A bass guitar inspired by the NS-2, the iconic bass that supported the Police's sound with its rich, deep bass tones!
This USA-made product is handcrafted by a small, elite team of about 10 people in Woodstock, a naturally rich area about 150km north of Manhattan, NYC.
This particular bass is based on the NS-2 used by Sting, a bass guitar that played a pivotal role in popularizing Spector basses in Japan.
The NS-2, a flagship model of Spector, has been loved by numerous top bassists since the 1980s.
This instrument features the golden specifications of a neck-through construction and EMG PJ pickups, and is finished in StingAged White.
This bass is identical in specifications to the NS-2 held by Sting himself in a Spector official post on February 27, 2026!!
Two were produced at the same time; one went to Sting, and the other is this one!!
The body is a solid wing construction plain maple body, and the neck is a 3-piece maple neck-through design. It features a solid, heavy sustain and a highly responsive tone.
The fingerboard is made of pau ferro, which has a hard and clear resonance. The inlays are classic crown mother-of-pearl, and the combination with white dot side position markers provides excellent visibility.
The pickups are the classic and highly reliable EMGPJ set, and the preamp is a Spector HAZ9v. It produces a classic Spector sound with punchy mid-lows and well-balanced, moderately pushed highs.
The parts are all chrome-plated, and it features a Badass I bridge!
The tuners are also Schaller, and while they are current models, the classic M4 type has been selected over the more commonly used tuners.
The strap buttons are Dunlop strap locks, resulting in a practical and performance-oriented setup.
