We specially ordered this rare model, which was sold exclusively on the Gibson official website as a DTC DirecttoConsumer exclusive product.
Based on the 1963 Firebird V with Maestro Vibrola from the Inspired by Gibson Custom collection, this is a highly sought-after instrument finished in a vintage sunburst color.
There are limited quantities available in Japan, so if you're interested, act fast!
The Firebird, released in 1963, was Gibson's first model with a neck-through-body construction.
It was loved by players of various genres, including blues legend Johnny Winter, Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones, Brian Jones, Eric Clapton, and Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music.
The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1963 Firebird V inherits the specifications of the vintage Firebird while being released at an accessible price.
It features a 9-ply neck-through-body construction of mahogany and walnut, with mahogany body panels on both sides.
It uses Kluson planetary banjo tuners, an Epiphone ABR bridge, and a Maestro Vibrola with the Epiphone logo engraved on it to hold the strings, resulting in exceptional sustain.
While retaining the refined and simple specifications of the vintage 1963 Firebird V, it also employs high-quality components in its electronics. Equipped with Gibson USA Firebird mini humbucker pickups with Alnico 5 magnets, CTS potentiometers, Mallory capacitors, Switchcraft 3-way pickup selector switch, and Switchcraft 1 4" output jack.
Not only does it have the classic Firebird V look, but it also boasts a superb sound.
Comes with a hardshell case featuring the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom logo.
