Beautiful Hand-Thrown Studio Pottery Goblet by Rob Bibby.

This is a stunning, unique studio pottery goblet by the renowned British potter Rob Bibby. This piece is a classic example of his functional earthenware, featuring a tactile, hand-thrown ridged stem and a vibrant, painterly abstract glaze. The decoration consists of a wash of blues, greens, and warm yellow/peach tones, applied in Bibby’s signature intuitive style, each piece he creates is one-of-a-kind. Measuring 14cm high 10.5cm across the top and the stable base is 7cm wide. Fully marked on the base with the impressed "ROB BIB" stamp. In excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or visible scratches or repairs, this goblet is in very good vintage condition. Please note there is some light age-related crazing to the glaze on the interior of the bowl. This is a common characteristic of hand-thrown earthenware of this age and does not affect the structural integrity of the piece, it is primarily an aesthetic detail. Please see photos for full detail. This beautiful piece of studio art pottery is most likely from his Pottery studio in Northamptonshire or perhaps his earlier Cambridge Studio Pottery period. A lovely addition to any studio pottery collection or a beautiful, functional piece for the home or a truly wonderfully unique gift.
