This is a 2012 ST-RATO in Lynch White from Davis Custom Guitars, a brand founded by former Fender Custom Shop master builder Jason Davis. It's serial number ST-01x, making it one of the earliest examples from the 10th generation.
Jason Davis was with Fender from 1989 to 2003 and was an active member of the original Fender Custom Shop. He worked as a guitar builder for Yngwie Malmsteen and Ritchie Blackmore. He has now left Fender, along with John Suhr and J.W. Black, to launch Davis Custom Guitars.
This guitar features an alder body, rosewood fingerboard, and a beautiful figured maple neck. The fingerboard has a 9.5-inch radius and 6100-type jumbo frets, providing modern playability compared to traditional Stratocasters.
The pickups are Fender Custom Shop Black Bobbin Single Coil Set. The control pots are CTS and the capacitors are EMERSON. The cavity is coated with conductive paint for noise reduction.
This guitar shows signs of normal use and weathering of the paint due to aging, but the frets and nut show minimal wear. The neck is in good condition, with ample room for the truss rod to move forward and backward. The electronics are also in good condition.
