Beautiful porcelain tiger figurine, designed by Max Hermann Fritz and produced by Hutschenreuther AG, Selb, Germany.

The sculpture depicts a walking tiger (“Schreitender Tiger”) captured in a dynamic naturalistic pose with one raised paw. The figure is finely modeled and decorated with naturalistic underglaze painting, highlighting the detailed stripes and expressive facial features of the animal.

The design dates after 1933 and represents the elegant animal sculptures for which Hutschenreuther became well known.

The underside bears the green Hutschenreuther factory mark (“HR”) and “Germany”, located on the unglazed base (lightly worn but still visible).
