Stunning Antique 19th Century Vieux Paris (Old Paris) Porcelain Bridal Vase.
This is a beautiful and rare example of French antique 19th Century craftsmanship. This "Fan" or "Flair" Rococo revival style spill vase features exquisite hand-painted botanical sprays of roses and wildflowers, accented with heavy Rococo revival style scrolled handles and ornate gilding. A classical “old Paris” 19th-century bridal/ wedding spill vase with scalloped edges and elaborate scrollwork. It features the impressed shape/ mold number "328" on the base, characteristic of high-quality Parisian workshops from the mid-to-late 19th century, measuring 24.5cm tall, 11.8cm wide across the top and 8cm across the base, a significant and impressive display size. Featuring hand painted floral motifs, intricately hand-detailed with vibrant pigments typical of the era. This piece is in very good antique condition, there are no chips, cracks, or any visible structural repairs or deep scratches. As expected for an authentic piece of this age, there is some light, honest wear to the mercury gilding on the high points of the scrolls and rim, which only adds to its antique charm. This would make a magnificent addition to any collection of French porcelain, a standout decorative piece for a mantel or sideboard or a truly unique gift.
