Heritage H-530 VWB Vintage Wineburst 2012
Description
Heritage H-530VWB Vintage Wineburst 2012
This is a used Heritage H-530VWB Vintage Wineburst, manufactured in 2012.
After the closure of the Gibson Kalamazoo factory in 1984, the remaining craftsmen took over the factory and equipment and established Heritage.
Continuing to build guitars using traditional methods dating back to Gibson's golden age, the brand is sometimes described as more Gibson-like than the originals.
This is the H-530, a Heritage version of the Gibson ES-330TD and Epiphone Casino.
It has a thin body like a semi-acoustic guitar, but is a full-acoustic guitar with no center block.
While the typical ES-330 and CASINO have a 16-fret joint and a deep-set neck, this H-530 features a 19-fret joint like the late 1960s ES-330 and Gibson ES-335.
This guitar is designed for enhanced playability in higher positions and ease of use.
The body is made of maple plywood, while the rim and sides, which form the framework, are made of solid maple.
The neck is made of mahogany and the fingerboard is made of rosewood, a classic specification. The neck shape is rounded and easy to grip, and it's not too thick, so it fits naturally.
There are signs that the neck was once broken near the headstock, but it has now been repaired very nicely and there are no problems with playability.
The pickups are Lollar P-90 type.
This is a highly rated brand for replacement pickups, and they are known for their elegant, clear sound.
The sound is exactly as expected.
Sweet, glossy, and sexy, yet with a well-defined tone, it's very musical and well-balanced. It's a great match for UK rock sounds, as well as blues. Personally, I think it would also suit jazz-funk styles like Grant Green.
This guitar is highly satisfying in both atmosphere and sound. Recommended for those who want to casually enjoy the airy tone of a full-acoustic guitar.
