My build process includes new upgraded capacitors, a new power switch, as well as new battery terminals.
Paired with a rechargeable battery, brand new shell, buttons, and speaker; this makes for the ultimate Game Boy Color.
Every console has had all three main capacitors replaced with upgraded tantalum caps.
Tantalum capacitors ensure the longest life possible, as they achieve long-term stability with a 20+ year service lifetime.
The original Game Boy Color does not have any lighting to the screen, making it difficult to play, even in the best lighting conditions. This upgrade allows you to play your favorite Game Boy or Game Boy Color games for hours on a bright, vibrant OLED screen.
