Photos are of the item listed. Box is excellent: box corners are sharp, edges are clean. There is a small crease parallel to the edge at the upper right of the front. All other surfaces look pristine. There is a miniscule amount of rubbing in a few places along the edges and on the corners, but this one of the nicest boxes I have seen. I wish everything I buy from Lego came in this condition. Seals are tight, no yellowing.
What a great Lego set from 2014! Minifigures include Emmet Brickowski (tlm072), found only in this set and in the Lego Movie Fun Pack (set 71212) Emmet features two facial expressions. . There are 2 robo-skeletons (tlm048), unique to Lego Movie sets, and a Unikitty-Angry Kitty minifig (tlm073), unique to this set. Note that the Unikitty is actually a mini-build. 708 pieces. This was one of the sets where Lego tossed in a brick separator tool. Nice!
Just about all the fun-value is in the Construct-o-Mech. The instructions are 70 pages long! There is a lot going on, made possible in part by heavy use of Technic parts. There is also a handful of parts unique to this set. The mech rolls, thanks to dual caterpillar treads on each foot. It has articulated hips and shoulders, a rubber-band powered grasping claw for the right hand, a pressure roller for the left. Emmet’s control station is nicely detailed and features a hinged “safety cage.” The impressive shoulder cranes don’t do much, but they look great.
