New unused and opened box only to show contents and has been sealed in original box for years. Original factory packaging including the Styrofoam and in the original cardboard box when purchased many years ago from Universal Studios Islands of Adventure.
There is no date on the item or box and many of our Disney/Universal Studios purchases were in the 1990s. Please do not purchase if the date of the item is a concern for you. This is in gift giving condition for the Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat collector or a great addition to your collection/home.
Marked with Dr. Seuss Enterprises branding on the underside with original labeling/brand present on this item. Made in China. Original retail price when purchased over 25+ years ago was $25.00. Please do not purchase if this is a concern regarding original price.
Made of ceramic material with the painted features/images of Dr. Seuss characters. I believe these images are from the original Cat in The Hat book. Featuring the characters The Cat in the Hat, brother-sister, Conrad and Sally, and their day with the Cat in the Hat and Thing One and Thing Two. Seuss Landing on the interior bottom of the cookie jar. There is the rubber seal around the cover/lid to help prevent when handling and damage from using cookie jar. This is a harder to find version style of the Dr. Seuss cookie jar.
There are some white bright spots or shaded areas in photos and are due to lighting (outside light glare when taking photos of these items) and not flaws. Please do not purchase if any of this is a concern for you.
