Antique Flint Manganese Glass Whale Oil Peg Font circa 1840–1860
this would of had a cork burner, not included.
Glows under 365nm UV light testing positive for
antique manganese glass.
The brass candle stand would not have been original to the font as it's
from approx late 1800's to very early 1900's
Measures approx. 14" tall,
11" to top of holder,
4 1/2" base, font 4 1/2" wide,
No chips or cracks in font,
bottom tension tabs are all there,
this still will sit loosely in holder as
tabs just help keeping font from falling out.
Comes with 6 black hanging drop crystals, there
are spots for 7.
Brass has it's own antique patina has not been polished.
