We have a '62-spec Fender Japan ST with upgraded electrical system in stock.
This '62 model features a spaghetti logo on the small headstock, an alder body, and a slab rosewood fingerboard. This '62 model was manufactured between 2007 and 2010. While the pickups have been replaced, the alder body, mint green pickguard, and aged white control knobs indicate this is an ST62-78TX (later ST62-TX).
The tuning machines have been replaced with GOTOH Rotomatic-type machines, and the pickups have been replaced with Van Zandt (model number unknown).
The electrical system has been upgraded with all CTS pots, Orange Drop capacitors, and a 3-way selector.
Copper foil has been added to the back of the pickguard, and conductive paint has been applied to the pickup cavity and tremolo spring cavity for thorough noise suppression.
There is a noticeable scratch on the horn on the 6th string side of the body top, and numerous scuffs and dents are scattered throughout the instrument.
In addition to signs of use, there are many modifications, but all parts have been maintained and cleaned at our repair center and playability is good.
The back panel is missing.
