A Lovely novelty 19th Century 

Large Staffordshire "surprise frog" Tankard. 

with Hand Painted Inn Scene.

The tankard holds approx 1.75 pints (1 litre)

It is approx 5 1/5 inches tall and 4 4/5 inches in diameter at the rim.

Whilst not rare, these Victorian pieces are not common either. 

This is a particularly good example which whilst showing 

good signs of its age remains undamaged.

It will be a welcome addition to any collection or 

is a substantial decorative piece which will display well as a stand alone item.
