BIRD'S EYE MAPLE
Botanical name: Acer saccharum
Country of origin: northern America
This is a bird's eye maple wood board, which is a special form of hard maple (sugar maple). As a result of the proliferation of sleeping buds, pin branches (bird's eyes) form around the trunk and grow in. The light white to yellowish-white color, which turns into a pale golden brown towards the interior of the trunk, combined with the lively structure conveys a friendly atmosphere.
The wood is only rough cut, both sides pre-planed, Sometimes rough spots are still possible (see darker/rough spots), dry, possibly with a core (see photos), the thickness can vary by approx. +/- 1mm, slightly dirty (can be planed/sanded). Possible errors such as cracks/knots/ingrowths etc. are marked with chalk as best as possible! The dimensions are given with minimum and maximum values!
The wood/board is delivered as raw material as described above, and only in rough cut form!
