ORANGE HABANERO CHILLI PLUG PLANT

Orange Habanero is grown for its intense heat and pronounced fruity, aromatic flavour. It’s a classic Caribbean chilli, widely used across the region for its balance of fire and fragrance, and remains one of the most influential chillies in modern sauce-making.

Plants are compact to medium-sized and bushy, typically reaching around 70–100cm when grown under cover. They branch freely and, once established, crop reliably over a long season. Pods are lantern-shaped and slightly ribbed, ripening from green to a rich, glossy orange.

Heat is very hot but not extreme, sitting below the superhot range, with a fast, clean burn and a strong tropical fruit character. What sets Orange Habanero apart is its aroma. There’s a floral, almost apricot-like quality beneath the heat, which makes it particularly well suited to sauces, marinades and Caribbean-style cooking.

This variety responds well to early starting. Giving plants extra time allows them to bulk up properly and improves both yield and flavour, especially in the UK climate.  If you’re looking for a chilli with real heat, classic pedigree and outstanding flavour, Orange Habanero is a dependable and rewarding choice.
