6 DANISH BOTANICAL PRINTS OF SEEDS. Circa 1948.
ARTIST: ELLEN BACKE (1891-1975)
68cm x 48cm

On offer here are a set of 6 Danish prints of seeds printed in the 1940s.
These wonderful and very decorative prints were found in a factory clearence, where they have sat on a shelf for the last 60 years undiscovered. (see photo)
They depict different seed types of seeds, beans and grasses and were produced by three Danish seed merchants as educational charts.
I have been lucky enough to buy quite a few sets of them and these are some that I have not had framed and am offering as they are so you can choose your own frame. I am also offering them framed, see other listings.

(TRADE: I can sell you multiple sets at a very good trade rate. You can call me, Barrie, for a price on 07941 314950 anything up to 200+ sets, all original 1940s vintage new stock)

Beautifully illustrated by Artist Ellen Backe these beautiful prints consist of six different plates numbered I to VI (2 of the 6 were printed in 1943 and 4 in 1948).
originally I did have some sets that had been mounted onto board, I guess these ones never made it onto the board.

Botanical prints have been an interior design classic since the 18th century, and these ones are a bit different. They look great as a set of 6 but you could also have two sets of three in different rooms.
