Gibson Vintage F-25 Folksinger 1965 Test Drive
Description
Vintage Gibson F-25 Folksinger, 1965
This 1965 F-25 Folksinger, produced from 1963 to 1971, was rarely seen on the market. It features a small body the same size as the LG series and a 12-fret joint. Its head angle is 14 degrees, its nut width is approximately 50mm, and white golpe boards are attached to both sides of the sound hole. The fingerboard is flat like a gut guitar. This unusual Gibson spec, a fusion of folk and classical styles, will appeal to enthusiasts. Since mid-1965, all models entered the era of narrow necks with a nut width of approximately 39mm, the existence of this model remains a mystery... The bracing is X-shaped.
Switching to steel strings with a gut-based guitar should feel less strange!
And what's more, this guitar resonates beautifully! Its volume and range are unbelievable for a small body! Tuning it excites you, knowing it's been played hard.
There are dents and small scratches throughout the guitar, including a few capo marks on the back of the neck. There is a slight dent in the fingerboard at the low frets, but it is not noticeable during playability. The string height is currently set appropriately, so it should not cause any stress during play. However, there is no room for saddle height, so we recommend adjusting the neck angle for future considerations. There is ample truss rod travel. There is some peeling near the bridge.
An additional strap pin has been added to the 1st string side of the neck joint.
Includes a third-party hard case.
