Here's a unique and somewhat rarer Shure mic with great sound quality from the 1980's and 90's. This is the early 1990's model SM-63 model dynamic microphone set at low impedance which I find to have more of a mid range sound. The SM-59 is very similar in tone to the Electro Voice 635A model mic so if you are looking for a Shure brand that rivals the 635A then you'll really appreciate this one for daily use. It's omni-directional as well. It has a smooth tone that you'll really appreciate and it comes with an aftermarket Audix mic clip and a lower adapter with on / off switch and longer cable shown.

 This is a late 1980's / 1990's model as it was made in Mexico before being discontinued in the late 1990's. The earlier SM-63 models were made in the U.S.A. The SM-63 was manufactured for about 15 to 20 years. The SM-63 is an ultra lite weight mic. An all metal body with a plastic front grill. It's 6 inches long X 1 1/4 wide at the tip. You can hold this mic for hours without any strain or simply place it in the mic clip.

 The SM-63 series has a very modern and classy look. It comes with it's stock champagne gold / silver color scheme. Not sure of the actual color but that's the best I can describe it. This is a quality dynamic mic with omni-directional characteristics picking up a bit more background noise. If you sing and play the guitar this will make a good choice. 

 The tone of this mic is what I would describe as very mid range and bright in nature. it's a Low Z setting but it's not bass heavy by any means. Just 150 OHMS like the E.V 635A.

 As you can see in the pictures provided there are typical lite signs of wear on the original painted handle. Just a few small scuff marks and tiny scratches. The Shure logo that encircles the mic looks very nice and completely legible. No fractures, dents or odors on the front grill and the original inner foam pop filter is in great shape. The XLR pins on this mic were cleaned as well ensuring a perfect signal once a cable is attached.

 The mic takes your standard XLR cable which is included. The cable is actually attached to an older adapter that I am unaware of the brand but I have seen dozens of these over the years and currently have quite a few listed for sale. The adapter can be used for hand help purposes or screwed onto any desk or floor stand you have via the Audix mic clip which grips the adapter firmly. The adapter gives you quite a bit of extra reach to work with and it's very lite weight. 

 The adapter has the built in on / off switch which works great allowing you to activatate the mic only when needed. It has a built in cable as well with the standard male 1/4 inch end connector. The cable is appx 11 feet in length. Soft, pliable and works perfectly. 

 There is just a lite engraving on the adapter but the adapter looks very good overall.

 Overall an excellent working mic that's very nice for a 30 year old microphone and an easy 8 on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking. Hook this one up and you are ready for any live event.
