Vintage Casio PT-1 Baby Blue Keyboard w/ Original Box – Plays Well, Some Buttons Not Working

Vintage Casio PT-1 Portable Electronic Keyboard in the desirable baby blue color. Includes the original box.

The keyboard powers on and plays well. The 29 mini keys function properly. Volume control works, different instrument sounds work, and record/playback using the one key play buttons functions correctly.

Some specific buttons are not working, likely due to internal battery corrosion.

Buttons not currently functioning: Clear, Del, Tempo Up, Tempo Down, Rhythm Select, Reset, Demo, Memory Play.

All other functions not listed above are working as expected.

We opened the keyboard and found battery corrosion inside. We carefully cleaned what we could without fully disassembling the keyboard, as we did not want to risk damaging this vintage unit. Based on what we observed, it appears likely that a full disassembly and cleaning of the metal button stems and contact points could restore these button functions, but this has not been tested or guaranteed.

Because of this, the keyboard is being sold AS-IS for repair, restoration, or partial functionality use.
