"Marble: A Town Built on Dreams - Vol. I" is Oscar McCollum's history of this small Colorado town that became very famous for the production of building materials and monuments. This first chronicle includes the Crystal River Railroad and the Carbondale – Redstone – Coalbasin region, as well as the story of the Colorado-Yule Marble Company's struggles in Marble, Colorado. A special feature of Volume I is the selection of photographs that detail the events of Marble, as the town grew through the years–only to be reduced by snow slides, fires, two world wars and the shutdown of the Colorado-Yule Marble Company.
