The speaker wears a personal transmitter and microphone. The listener wears a personal receiver and earphone. This system functions as a remote microphone for the listener overcoming difficult listening challenges.
The Comtek Companion AT-72 FM wireless auditory assistance kit is a personal FM amplification system designed for persons who use a hearing aid. The Companion is an auditory assistance system that creates a wireless FM sound link between a transmitter worn by a speaker and a receiver worn by the person with a hearing impairment. This link enables intelligible speech to be heard even in noisy situations or locations with a lot of background noise. The kit includes the following: one M-72AT transmitter; one PR-72b personal receiver with plug-in frequency selector; one AT-350 lapel microphone; one SM-N earphone assembly; one NTC-102 neckloop transducer; one NBC9-2R battery charger and two rechargeable batteries; one CB-48 attenuator/adapter cable; two belt clip pouches; and a carry case.
