Antique Chinese Porcelain Bowl – Late Qing / Republic Period
Offered here is an authentic antique Chinese porcelain bowl, dating to the late Qing dynasty to early Republic period (circa 1880–1930). The bowl features a rich oxblood-style interior glaze with natural pooling and crackle, centered by an underglaze blue symbolic motif rendered within a reserved medallion.
The exterior is decorated in underglaze blue with scrolling floral or fruiting vine motifs, painted in a loose, expressive hand consistent with provincial kiln production. The glaze displays natural crazing, developed over time and typical of period wares.
The base shows a double-circle mark enclosing a leaf motif, a decorative symbol rather than a reign mark. The foot is neatly trimmed and shows age-appropriate wear, further supporting an early production date.
This piece reflects the Song and Yuan revival aesthetic popular in the late Qing and Republic era, combining classical inspiration with folk craftsmanship.
