Description
Striking vintage wooden cat sculpture with an elongated brass head and whiskers. Hand-carved from solid wood with decorative brass detailing to the body and tail, this tall stylised figure has a distinctive folk-art feel and plenty of character. Based on materials and construction, this piece is likely of South-East Asian origin, possibly Indonesian, and dates to the late 20th century (c.1970s–1990s).

A unique decorative piece that works beautifully as a statement ornament on a shelf, sideboard or mantelpiece.

Condition
Good vintage condition. The wood shows natural grain, age marks and surface wear consistent with age and use. Brass elements show patina, adding to the overall character (see photos).
