Deck Theme & Playstyle
This is a mono-black Zombie aristocrats deck that grinds value through sacrifice, death triggers, and recursive threats. Gisa fuels a steady stream of Zombies while cards like Midnight Reaper, Undead Augur, Corpse Augur, and Bastion of Remembrance turn every death into cards and life drain. The deck controls the board with an unusually dense removal suite, then pivots into explosive turns using Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Grave Titan, Josu Vess, or Zombie Apocalypse to close games. Graveyard interaction and recursion keep you resilient against wipes, while sacrifice outlets like Priest of Forgotten Gods and Village Rites effects ensure you stay ahead on resources. Overall, it plays like an inevitable attrition engine that slowly chokes the table before delivering one or two massive finishing blows.
